The Covid-19 pandemic and now the war in Ukraine have (re)highlighted a need for a Europe of Health. How do we get health back on the front burner?
The ESEC has taken up this subject and has identified the challenges to be met in order to build this health democracy for the citizens of the Union.
How to build the Europe of Health ?
The ESEC's Commission for European and International Affairs has considered how to bring this European health to the highest political level and with what governance. It interjected on the articulation of health policy at European and national level. It identified the potential levers to be used on such a cross-cutting issue, impacting social, economic and environmental issues, in order to reach to the concept of "One Health".
