    Overview
    Présentation

The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic and the lockdown periods that marked the previous year have led to a collective awareness of the importance of certain jobs that are essential to health and social cohesion. The ESEC wanted to devote an opinion to one particular group of workers who care for or look after people and their families in the home. These predominantly female occupations provide a service that is essential for the health and social lives of people classified as vulnerable under the labour code, including young children, elderly people losing their independence, and the ill or disabled.
